On July 27, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus, Andrei Pavlovich Khudyk, paid a working visit to Slonim.
In the first half of the day, a member of the government took part in the meeting of the Slonim Regional Executive Committee, the main issue on the agenda of which was the consideration of the results of the social and economic development of the Slonim region for January-June 2018.
Then, for the head of the republican level, a visit was made to a number of facilities, one of which was the line for sorting and processing of garbage and solid municipal waste.
Also on this day the minister held a personal reception of citizens in the district executive committee. The range of issues raised at the meeting concerned the construction of an alcohol storage in the village of Porechye in the Dyatlovo district of OJSC “Dyatlovo Alcohol Liquor and Distillery”, assisting in resolving the problematic issues of waste disposal and wastewater treatment of SKBZ “Albertin”, assistance in settling on the old the riverbed of the Shchara River ecodendropark, as well as the work of the Slonim City and District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the construction of a vaulted ditch in Dobriyana Street.
Concluding his visit, Andrei Pavlovich summed up his brief results in a conversation with local media.
– I spent almost a whole day working in the Slonim district, including taking part in the meeting of the district executive committee, where one of the important issues was discussed – the results of the socio-economic development of the district in the first half of the year. It was quite an objective, concrete and professional conversation. I am convinced that the adopted plans and forecasts will help to gain momentum and Slonimschina will be able to take positions above the average in the region. All the factors for this are available. Your area is large enough, and its potential is a considerable amount of professional manpower. Therefore, I think that after today’s serious conversation, the situation should change for the better, – said the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus. – Regarding the reception of citizens, I want to say that serious problem issues were not raised. The fact that the leaders of organizations came to consult, or to find an investment opportunity for their enterprises, is commendable. I think that we will take this note and we will try our best to help them. The only one was a private issue – flooding (home ownership in Dobriyana Street – red). I am convinced that the new head of the district will objectively consider it and make the right decision.
Andrei Pavlovich called the growth of Borshevik Sosnovsky one of the problematic issues in the region: “This is an invasive plant, which today is a problem in the republic. In some areas, it increases its area, including, unfortunately, in Slonim. Today I focused on this issue and I am sure that all the necessary measures will be taken to solve it. ”
In addition, the minister positively assessed the introduction of the line for sorting municipal waste in Slonim, and the volume of extraction of secondary material resources sharply increased.
