July 27 in the agrotown of Senkovshchina the district stage of the republican family agricultural project “The Master of the Village” passed, organized by the NGO of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
The main heroes of the holiday were the young families of Mitropolsky, Tolkach and Sidorik.
The participants of the competition were to surprise the jury, which included: Natalia Yunchits, head of the ideological work and youth affairs department of the district executive committee, Tatyana Kuzmich, first secretary of the regional committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Alexander Sahon, chief specialist of the sports and tourism sector of the district executive committee, Anna Kislaya, specialist of the ideological work and youth affairs department of the district executive committee.
Natalia Stanislavovna Yunchitz and Olga Alexandrovna Rusak, the chairman of the Senkovshchina village executive committee greeted the audience and wished the contestants a successful performance.
The contest program began with the “Business Card”, where the participants represented their families. Each speaker found his form to diversify the greeting. Some sang, others danced, and still others read poetry. Also, every applicant for the victory presented a creative work done in any of the techniques. In advance, the contestants had to provide a video and in which it was told about the family and the courtyard.
No less spectacular and tense was the stage called “Sivka-Burka”, where adult members of the family harnessed and unharnessed the horse (women unharnessed, and men harnessed it). It took into account not only the speed of execution, but also the correctness.
After that, the participants were waiting for an agricultural relay race. The children needed to gallop on the “horse”, the dads ran the distance with the buckets of water, and the mothers moved the cast iron bowls.
The most energy-consuming was the “Woodcutter” contest, which was attended only by adults. A husband and a wife had to cut the log into three parts. Then the husband took hold of the ax and chopped wood into four parts, and the wife was to stack the chopped wood.
The final stage was a competition called “Master”. Each man was given a piece of wood, a sketch and a workpiece. With the help of tools it was necessary to make a potatoes masher. The jury evaluated the time and quality of the work, as well as the pattern matching.
All families have coped with all competitive tests with honor.
